Sierra Nevada - Ski Resort and Snow Summary
The Spanish ski resort of Sierra Nevada is only two hours drive from Villa Chile. Visitors have direct access to 79 individual pistes, served by 24 ski lifts. The resort itself is above 1500 meter, so skiing or snow boarding back to the resort is usually possible. With pistes above 2500 metres, skiing and snowboarding are assured throughout the season. Granada is 130 miles or 209 kilometres away. It is a relaxing 2 and half hour drive from Villa Chile depending on traffic flows. The city is home to the Parque de las Ciencias (Science Museum) which is a great place to take your family for a fun day out. So many interesting things to see and do - espaically the 270 different interactive activities which kids love. Crocodile Park Costa in Torremolinos

Any number of beaches can be reached within 30 minutes drive of Villa Chile including Nerja, Torrox, Maro, Torre del Mar. Nerja has 10 beaches with a selection of beach bars, restaurants and excellent shopping.
Painting
The clear air, stunning views, uniquely Spanish buildings and the Spanish people make Competa an artist’s paradise. It is still possible to see farmers walking their mules out to their almond and olive groves in the early morning; or droving their goat herds along winding roads looking for new foraging places on the hill sides.
