Overlooking the white washed village of Competa some 14 kms. inland with breath taking views of the Med. and the Tejeda and Almijara mountain ranges sits the unique Villa Chile complex.
Villa Chile was built by a successful local businessman in the late 1960's on an elevated ridge site overlooking the very vibrant small white washed town of Competa and is a well known local feature.
This truly superb location gives Villa Chile both a commanding view looking down the valleys to the Med. plus a back drop of the majestic Sierra Amijora mountain range; and is only an hour's drive from Malaga Airport.
The complex constructed on a raised bed rock is accessed by a cement driveway leading to a large car park, a wide double fronted stairway leads you to a substantial house bordered by wide extensive tiled terracing attractively decked out with raised flower beds.
The secluded pool is again elevated and provides stunning views over Competa and the national park beyond.
The complex comes with an additional aged cortejo, which whilst having been updated retains its old world charm. The buildings are set in their own grounds which have been terraced and laid out with mature olive and almond trees and vines; plus a number of different fruit trees including figs, oranges, apples, peach and walnut. The land has the benefit of a laid out watering system.
The present owner acquired the property in 1990 and after extensive renovations Villa Chile became a first class restaurant and bar residential accommodation attracting its' clientele from not only the immediate area, but also from the coast and as far away as Mijas and Marbella.
In the past, Villa Chile has been particularly popular for large functions with its spectacular back drop and offering both indoor and outdoor dining facilities.
At a later date, the existing business added a small garden centre by converting the cortejo's drying beds into a tiered terraced area together with the benefit of its own substantial private water supply.
The owner decided some years ago to retire the businesses and now uses Villa Chile purely for residential purposes but retaining the bar area; utility rooms and cloakroom facilities.
Villa Chile's size and truly superb location lends itself to once again being used as a business; its many charms and possibilities must make it one of the most sought after properties in the Competa area.
